Linton Quad, St Peter's College

Getting started

As the Oxford Trinity term draws to a close for 2016, the team working on the digital outreach project are keen to start turning our ideas and intentions for the digital portal into reality.

The first 6 months are crucial and there are several major milestones to achieve. Two new full-time team members (Grace and me) have just come on board – and having now gained a firm grounding in the work so far we are keen to get to work.

To flesh out our plans more fully, the team (including two new starters) held an away day last week. With the backdrop of the Linton Quad at St Peter’s College (pictured) for inspiration, we packed our day full of discussion on thorny but critical issues such as governance, as well as discussing how we can combine our mission to reach under-represented groups with existing outreach work across the collegiate University. With five years to go and so much to achieve, planning was also on the agenda – for several hours!

The summer ahead promises to be a very busy one – with the developer coming on board, another staff member joining us and a team of students helping us to catalogue existing educational resources we can re-deploy within out hub.
